Aspen Ridge Gravel LoopGravel route on Co Rd 175, Salida, Chaffee County, Colorado "Really great and beautiful route. Pretty heavy climb in the beginning but tames down and was possibly the most beautiful gravel route I've ever done. Would highly recommend. Can also be done from town (Salida) if you're wanting to climb up 175 and add a bit more intensity to it. Just a few chunky bits, most gravel was fast and smooth, the views made it tough to do fast because stopping was mandatory at some points for the sights. " |

Jamestown 130Gravel route on US-17 ALT, Jamestown, Berkeley County, South Carolina "Route that in a most inefficient way circles the outside of the gravel/B roads. 67.5 miles to Buck Hall Rec area, first come first serve tents available (confirmed April 2024) and spots available for reservation online, showers are on site. Comes back up in an equally inefficient way to traverse through the low country areas. Lots of re-routes and such available should anything be underwater. McClellansville could be added to this with a 10-ish mile detour for refuel or other issues. " |

Wando 150Gravel route from Callum Rd to Cane Gully Rd, Moncks Corner, Berkeley County, South Carolina "This route rides the outside of the gravel/B road stuff in this area. Takes you to McClellenville around mile 50 for refuel then onward to Buck Hall Rec Area for camping (sites can be reserved online or first come first serve as of Spring 2024). From Buck Hall, this heads 24 miles down Seewee Rd into Wando (short bit on US17) across Wando River into an area with various restaurants. KOA Charleston isn't too far from this area if you're wanting another lodging place. From here, this route heads back up North with gravel starting just outside of Wando back to the start. " 1 |

Bernheim Grinder 22 MilerGravel route on Happy Hollow Rd, Clermont, Bullitt County, Kentucky "After scouting around Bernheim a few times, I decided I'd try to make a decent route. This route starts with parking near the Hike & Bike trail head. It has you go out towards the road and then into Bernheim Forest main entrance. It's been my experience that when riding in by bike they do not charge you for entry. You will then ride the paved road to start the Firetower Road all the way up until you get to Wilson Creek Fire Road. You'll take this all the way out to take a LEFT Country Road 1125 where you will do a creek crossing (usually passed without getting wet; if you go right you'll get to a larger creek crossing that is cool to look at but difficult to cross without getting wet unless its pretty dry). Road 1125 turns into Harrison Fork Road that will then take you to the main road 245. The route makes every attempt to take get off 245. A few quick back roads and a short stent on 245 gets you back to the gravel. Once getting to the Ashlock Hollow Fire Road (gravel) you'll ride until you make it to Old Headquarters Fire Road. After approx 1.3 miles you'll come back out to 245. Cross the road and you will find a small paved road that takes you to the Hike and Bike trail. Go Left and it'll take you back to your car. Go right and it goes all the way to the end of the Hike and Bike trail (Approx 2 miles or so plus the 2 miles back to this point). It's worth noting that the gravel trails inside of Bernheim don't say its okay to be ridden by bike but also do not say they specifically cannot. I have passed numerous rangers while riding and they've never said anything to me. Be aware that this route starts by entering the park so that you don't run the risk of the park being closed if you do it in the reverse manner. Call and check when they lock the gates (x1 gate at the entrance and x1 gate at the Fire Tower Road). " 2 3 |

The Bender Gravel RouteGravel route on 2nd St, Marengo, Crawford County, Indiana "I did this route on 12/03/20 and took some notes regarding which parts were gravel and which were road. I was given this course by another and (accidentally) did it in reverse but it was a very solid route and very enjoying. A few pretty hefty climbs but all rideable. I parked at Crawford County Middle School. Depending on which direction you come, you may pass through Georgetown IN (or if you don't, you're only about 15-20 minutes away). In Georgetown there is Georgetown Bakery and they have HOT DONUTS. There's also numerous pizza places as well as a Mexican joint for post ride food. You will also pass a coffee shop on the way through if coming from i64. Below are the notes I took regarding this route. Mile 1-3.4 is ROAD -Nice casual stroll out of town and down a back road. Steady climb up to begin the gravel. MILE 3.4-9.66 GRAVEL -Water crossing that could be deep depending on recent rainfall. I was able to ride through it without issue (see photo). This was definitely my favorite segment of the route. Mile 9.65-10.12 ROAD -Short hill climb up just before starting back to gravel. Mile 10.12-11.72 GRAVEL -On this section I passed by a house that had a seemingly friendly barking dog. He didn't seem like he was going to bite me but was intimidating. Mile 11.72-17.69 ROAD MILE 17.69-22.20 GRAVEL -These miles come just after a pretty bomber down hill. Its rough and was muddy in some parts but all ride-able. Just before making it to a wider gravel road you'll climb up a mildly chunky hill. Again, all ride-able but you'll work a little bit here. -There's also a barking dog that I passed on this segment. Again he seemed friendly enough but I didn't hangout long enough to find out. MILE 22.20-25.9 ROAD -My Garmin route was complete at 25.9 miles back to the Middle School parking lot. " 1 1 |
